I recently had the pleasure of test-driving the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy, the top-of-the-line trim for this stylish and practical SUV. This isn't just a family hauler; it's a luxurious ride with high-tech features and a powerful engine. Design: From the moment I saw the Santa Fe Calligraphy, I was impressed by its sleek and sophisticated design. The boxy shape, bold grille, LED headlights and taillights, and 21-inch alloy wheels give it a commanding presence on the road. The interior is equally impressive, with soft-touch materials and plenty of legroom and headroom for both rows. However, the third row is suitable for children. The seats in the 2024 model fold flat, and the second-row captain chairs are power-operated and comfortable. Models/Price: Available in six and seven-seat configurations, the Santa Fe lineup includes the SE ($33,950), SEL ($36,450), XRT ($40,600), Limited ($43,350), and the Calligraphy ($46,500). The Hybrid models are available in SEL ($35,150), Limited ($43,8450), and Calligraphy Hybrid ($47,000). Power: The Santa Fe Calligraphy packs a punch under the hood with its new 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-four-cylinder engine, producing 277 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, this powertrain delivers strong acceleration and smooth handling. The ride is comfortable and well-controlled, making driving on city streets and highways pleasurable. Tech and Features: The Santa Fe Calligraphy has high-tech features that make driving it a joy. The 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system is intuitive and easy to use, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless smartphone integration. The premium Harman Kardon sound system delivers crisp and clear audio, while the heated and ventilated front seats keep you comfortable in any weather. Fuel Economy: The EPA estimates that the Santa Fe Calligraphy gets up to 20 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. These are respectable figures for a midsize SUV with this level of performance. Safety is a top priority in the 2024 Santa Fe Calligraphy, which has a comprehensive suite of features, including automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The Santa Fe has also received good safety ratings from the NHTSA and IIHS. Hyundai also offers one of the best warranties in the business. The Santa Fe is also backed by Hyundai’s best-in-class warranty coverage, including powertrain coverage for up to 10 years or 100,000 miles and complimentary scheduled maintenance for three years or 36,000 miles. The limited warranty covers 5 years or 60,000 miles.
