With a slew of compact luxury SUVs on the market, the 2024 Genesis GV70 stands out with a competitive price, modern style, and unique luxury features. It is a solid choice for those seeking a luxurious and stylish SUV. Launched in 2021, the GV70 remains relatively unchanged from my last review of the 2022 model. It’s a compelling SUV loaded with the latest advanced technology and features. Although the Genesis brand does not have a long history and name recognition as many of its competitors in the compact luxury segment, it is highly competitive against rivals like the Audi Q5, BMW X3, and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class, which offer strong alternatives. The 2024 Genesis GV70 continues to improve over its predecessor. Some notable changes include a small price increase, design upgrades, software improvements, and advanced driver-assist technologies. Models/Price: The 2024 Genesis GV70 is available in a range of attractively priced models, including:
2.5T: Starting at ($46,500)
2.5T Select ($49,095)
2.5T Advanced ($52,095)
2.5T Sport Prestige ($57,995)
3.5T Sport: Starting at ($59,000)
3.5T Sport Advanced: Starting at ($65,095)
3.5T Sport Prestige: Starting at ($68,295)
This year, the GV70 2.5 T models received new 19-inch wheels and upgraded brakes as standard. The 2.5T Sport Prestige model now comes with ventilated front seats, manual rear door window shades, a premium Lexicon stereo system, and a remote parking feature. All 3.5T models get an upgraded collision-avoidance system, adaptive cruise control with a lane-centering feature, and onboard Wi-Fi. The 3.5T Sport Advanced trim receives a fresh set of 21-inch wheels. The Sport Advanced and Prestige models include leather upholstery, interior ambient lighting, a heated steering wheel, and a host of driver-assistance features, including a remote self-parking feature. They also have 19-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, and a 16-speaker Lexicon stereo system.
Power/Engine:
The 3.5T twin-turbo six-cylinder engine produces impressive power and acceleration with 375 horsepower, while the base turbocharged four-cylinder is quick and smooth, producing 300 horses. Both are paired with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Fuel Economy/MPG:
The four-cylinder is the most efficient gasoline-powered GV70 model. According to the EPA, it is rated at 22 city/28 highway mpg. The twin-turbo six-cylinder earns 18 city/24 highway mpg. For an eco-friendly and fuel-efficient option, Genesis introduced the Electrified GV70, an EV with futurist luxury features. As Hyundai's luxury division, Genesis also offers one of the best warranties in the business. The GV70 comes with powertrain coverage for up to 10 years or 100,000 miles and complimentary scheduled maintenance for three years or 36,000 miles.
Limited warranty covers 5 years or 60,000 miles.
