The 2025 Genesis GV80 Coupe 3.5T is one of the most appealing luxury vehicles I’ve had the pleasure of driving this year. The bold and striking design is a head-turner even when sitting still. It stands out in the luxury segment with powerful hybrid performance, advanced technology, and a competitive price range.
New this year – The GV80 Coupe has an aggressive front fascia with a larger grille and LED headlights. The redesigned rear has a curvy roofline that seamlessly flows into the rear OLED taillights. It also offers new wheel designs and paint colors. In addition, a coupe-like silhouette makes it more aerodynamic and sportier than the base GV80.
Performance/Power: While the standard model GV80 starts around $59,650 MSRP and is powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 300 horsepower, the GV80 Coupe 3.5T, I tested, starts at $81,400 MSRP and delivers 409 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque from a twin-turbo six-cylinder and a 48V E-Supercharger, which races from 0-60 mph in just 5.1 seconds.
The ride and handling were fluid and precise, thanks to its eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system. Whether cruising on the highway or taking on curvy exit ramps, the GV80 Coupe balances comfort with sportiness. Additionally, its adaptive suspension further improved handling and adjusted well to various road conditions.
Models/Pricing: The 2025 GV80 Coupe 3.5T E-Supercharger is available in three well-equipped trim levels: Premium ($69,500), with 21” wheels; Advanced ($76,300), with 22” wheels; and Luxury ($84,900), with back-seat entertainment and premium relaxation.
Interior: The GV80 Coupe cabin is surrounded by handcrafted luxury materials and features like quilted Nappa leather seats with available massage and ventilation, open-pore wood trim, and metallic accents. It also has a 14.5-inch curved OLED touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a Lexicon 18-speaker premium audio system.
Upgraded technology includes semi-autonomous driving via its Highway Driving Assist II system, and navigation directions are displayed on the cameras.
Fuel Economy: The E-Supercharger in the GV80 high-performance SUV helps to optimize fuel economy, delivering a combined 19 mpg with 17 city and 23 highway mpg.
