Experiencing the Powerful Jeep Wagoneer S Limited EV

Just as the all-electric, high-performance Jeep Wagoneer S Limited established itself as the most powerful luxury SUV in Jeep's history, the future of the brand's electrification strategy has been thrown into doubt. Having spent a week with the 2025 Wagoneer S Limited this past December, I was eager to see if anything had changed for the new model year. The answer is that the Wagoneer S lineup has been streamlined from two trim levels in 2025 to just one for 2026, leaving the Limited model to carry the torch alone.
The most significant change for 2026 is the retirement of the range-topping Launch Edition, which offered the 600-horsepower as standard with unique badging and content, leaving the Limited model as the only Jeep EV, with a starting price holding steady at an estimated $67,995 MSRP.
Power /Performance:
The 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S Limited I tested came standard with the 400-volt electric drive motors that produced 500 horsepower. However, purchasing the optional Propulsion Boost Package (over-the-air OTA update) will increase it to 600 horsepower. All the features and technologies carry over unchanged.
But you may not need it, since 500 horsepower in the Wagoneer S Limited is so powerful that it seems unnatural for a Jeep. It accelerated with a passion to dominate the road, effortlessly passing and changing lanes. The 3.4-second sprint from 0 to 60 mph in a vehicle engineered for rugged off-roading was strange. In addition, the dual-motor setup (one front, one rear) provided instant, seamless all-wheel drive traction.
Power is generated by a 100.5 kWh 400-volt battery pack with an estimated range of 294 miles on a full charge, which recharges from 20 to 80% in 23 minutes. Jeep includes a 48-amp Level 2 home charger or equivalent public charging credits with every purchase.
Exterior/Interior:
The 2026 Wagoneer S Limited carries over the sleek, modern design that debuted in 2025. The illuminated seven-slot grille, 20-inch wheels, and coupe-like roofline give the Wagoneer S a distinctly premium, urban appearance.
Stepping inside, you’re greeted by a full suite of screens, including a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch central Uconnect 5 touchscreen, and a dedicated 10.3-inch climate control screen. A 10.3-inch screen is also available for the front passenger. The material quality is premium with standard faux-leather upholstery. It also has an optional McIntosh 1,160-watt sound system with 19 speakers.
